Acropolis Disks

schoolofathens.png
School Of Athens (Delphi)

This card can be played at any time. When you play this card you immediately take a school token from your player board and place it onto your current location. It cannot be played if there is already a school on your current location, if you do not have any schools left to place or if it is blocked by another Oracle Card (Retraction of Promises). Once played you will keep the card face up near your player board as a reminder that you have already taken a card from Delphi.

Spirit of the Acropolis.png
Spirit of the Acropolis (Delphi)

This card can be played at any time. When you play this card you immediately gain the special ability of another current player. You will retain this ability for the rest of the game. This card can be blocked by the Retraction of Promises card. You will pick the special ability of the player you gain the power of but it must be a character that is playing, so in 1 and 2 player gains you do not get a choice.

Once played you should keep the card face up near your player board as a reminder that you have already taken a card from Delphi.

pericles first citizen of athens.png
Pericles first Citizen of Athens (Delphi)

This card must be played during your turn, when it is played you are able to take an extra three actions that are available in your current location.

For example, if you are in Ithica you may take any 4 standard actions (1 for your turn and 3 extra for the card). You may not take acropolis actions or special actions as they are not availble in Ithica. If you were in an Acropolis location you could take that Acropolis action 4 times in a row but no standard or special actions.

Once played this card should be kept by the player as a reminder that they have already collected a card from Delphi.

ephiphany.png
Epiphany (Delphi)

This card can be played at any time and immediately allows the player to unlock one of their wisdom cards. This card can be blocked by another Oracle Card (Retraction of Promises) and it cannot be played if you have already unlocked all of your wisdom cards.

Once played you should keep the card face up near your player board as a reminder that you have already taken a card from Delphi.

favours of the oracledelphi.png
Favours of the Oracle (Delphi)

This card does not do anything by itself, however if you have the two other favours of the oracle cards from the two other Oracles then you are eligible to collect a Labyrinth Token on a future turn.

This is the only type of Oracle Card that cannot be blocked by the 'Retraction of Promises' Oracle Card.

There is an Acropolis disk named 'Unknown Oracle' which may come into play during the game. If it does, and you aquire it, this Acropolis Disk serves as a replacement for a missing Favours of the Oracle Card. So if you have any two Favours of the Oracle Cards and you acquire the 'Unknown Oracle' Disk you are also eligible to gain a Labyrinth Token. There is no extra benefit to having all 4 of these items.

After being played you should keep this card and the other Favours of the Oracle Cards you have played face up near your board as a reminder that you have visited these Oracles.

This card can be blocked by the 'Retraction of Promises' Oracle Card and if blocked it you cannot play it and must play another argument card instead, or pass.

Once you have finished the debate, or if the card was blocked, you should place this card faceup near your player board as a reminder that you have already taken a card from Dodona.
